Blog Post #1.

Throughout this class I hope to learn the importance of the technology while being a teacher. As my goal is to become a teacher in the future, knowing the behind the scenes factors will be critical. I am curious to see the different platforms we will be using in this class and if it will directly relate to my daily life. I am also curious about how often teachers use this platforms and which ones are the most critical.

I am a freshman in college and therefore do not have very much experience in the education field. I have used simple technology platforms and prior jobs but nothing directly related to education. I have used canvas and some other platforms in school but nothing very complex. I have used canvas in a teachers perspective and am curious if that is what the other platforms are like as well. 

On a daily basis I use canvas, email and a variety of social media platforms to stay up to date on current events and school work. I use a digital and paper calendar to organize my weeks and months to ensure I do not miss anything on my schedule. I hope to learn more organizational skills and background information about tools used while teaching. I think that these tools will help me significantly when learning more about what grade or subject I would like to teach when I am older.
