The standard that I have selected is Identify, analyze and evaluate movement concepts, mechanical principles, safety considerations and strategies/tactics regarding movement performance in a variety of physical activities. This standard describes physical education and the importance that it has in a students education. It discusses how technology can be used to enhance expertise in physical education. I feel prepared to implement this standard based on my current skill set because I have knowledge of physical education and feel confident that there are resources that technology can provide to enhance the outcome of physical education.
I selected a second grade level lesson plan about Lunchroom Madness. This resource will be extremely beneficial to teachers in Florida as it has predesigned lesson plans and templets that we are able to use. Lesson plans like this particular one can be used in my teaching in case of an absence of the teacher. For example, if I was not able to attend school and I had my students has a substitute teacher, this lesson plan would help that teacher know what to do during the lunch hours. This plan would also help give instructions on what to do incase of an emergency or specific situation such as a fight in the lunchroom.
Knowing how to properly search things on the web as a teacher is extremely important since there are thousands of resources on the web. It is important to use key words that will help find the information that you are looking for. The skill that I will be using in the future is the google reverse image search method. This method is useful for me as sometimes I cant quite describe something to receive what I am looking for. But now that I know this, I am able to take a picture and upload it to google to see what the results are for that. I also know that google has a translate option incase you encounter a different language in a book or on a menu that allows you to scan the text and it will automatically translate it for you without typing anything in.
Artificial intelligence in education is a controversial topic but in my personal experience I think that it can be a useful tool to use at times. For example, as I study for tests, I can copy my notes or PowerPoint slides into the chat and ask it to generate an exam for me to study. This tool has been very helpful for me in college. On the other hand, when I was first introduced to this topic I was skeptical about how it could help me rather than hurt me by if I was going to ask it the answer to questions. I believe that artificial intelligence is okay to use in college level courses for specific things such as test prep or clarification but I think that it is important the students in grade levels K-12 are limited to this tool as they might take advantage of its helpfulness.
