So far in this class, using blogger has been fairly simple to understand. I have never used blogger before this class but it seems like an effective resource to posting assignments. I do personally think that posting paragraphs like such would be more simple to post on canvas either as a discussion board or to upload a MSWord document. I have learned how to create new posts and comment on other students posts.
When teaching, I might use Google Docs to help show my students how to properly collaborate with students. They will be able to share the doc with their peers and collaborate through that. Google docs is also helpful for individual work when asking the students to submit assignments onto canvas. It will also help peer editing. Students can access other students docs and mark their work and make suggestions to help improve their work. https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/ Google docs is a solid platform that has become more and more popular.
Before this class, I rarely used AI for anything. Now, I find it helpful in situations like understanding a question and coming up with ideas for an assignment. For the portfolio item: Generative AI, it was helpful as I asked it to create a lesson plan for third graders in a reading lesson. It then generated options such as read aloud, or collaboration. I would use AI next time and ask it to further explain how these methods will be used in the classroom.
I do see myself using AI in the classroom when I become a teacher for things as simple as creating a lesson plan or for asking it how to interact with a student when I need to discuss something difficult with them. AI can promote helpful ideas and recommendations for all sorts of things and can definitely help with addressing ethical concerns. To address ethical concerns I will keep it clear that using AI programs is only for simple questions and not cheating purposes. It is important to note that AI is not to be used as a cheating resource.
I completely agree blogger has also been an easy to understand and navigate thus far, I too have never used this website but think it is a fun and useful tool. I also see myself using AI in the classroom, I said that it can be useful in lesson planning as well. I think AI is a great way to get ideas to make fun and interactive assignments for students. I think AI needs to be used carefully as teachers, we cannot solely rely on this to create content in a classroom. We need to make sure that it is just the basis it is not something we copy word for word.
